The Balboa Peninsula, a scenic 3-mile stretch, features Newport Harbor on one side and broad, sandy California beaches on the other.
Our home is located approximately one block from either side. Surf or swim in the waves on the beach side, or rent an electric Duffy boat, a kayak or a stand up paddle board to enjoy the calm waters of the harbor side.
Along the oceanfront you will find a paved beach walk that is perfect for strolling, riding a bicycle or roller blading. Farmer’s markets, the fresh fish market, and local shops are all just a short walk or a bike ride away. Take the historic ferry to Balboa Island for an iconic Balboa Bar or frozen banana. After a day of fun in the sun, relax around a bonfire in one of the beach fire pits, barbeque at home, or enjoy a night out.
From dine-in to grab-and-go, there are restaurants to fulfill any kind of appetite and the variety of bars and live music makes the Peninsula a regional nightlife destination.
